Welcome to EdibleContainerGardening.com !
I have been container gardening for over a decade. I hold advanced degrees in horticulture and botany, and naturally enjoy gardening at home. Besides being a gardener, I am a voracious information geek, and enjoy passing on all that I have learned to others who are interested in growing vegetables in containers.
A little about myself: I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have three children. I believe in living well and eating as whole and clean as possible. I grow my home garden in containers because our local clay-like soil isn’t very good for growing the things I wanted to grow.
I named this site “EdibleContainerGardening” because it’s not just about growing vegetables in containers. And it’s not just about growing herbs in containers. This site is about growing vegetables, fruits, AND herbs in containers. If it can be grown in a container and eaten, I want to know/learn/write about it!
I hope that this blog will serve to help you (and me!) learn more about growing vegetables in containers. Feel free to drop me a line with any questions, comments or concerns!

Hi there! just like you I a have a green thumb. But when we transferred to a low cost housing which I can proudly say our own little home, I only have small spaces for a garden. what I did is to put them in an unused water containers and place them near the dining area so I can see them. I have my lemon grass, tomato, okra and an eggplant. How I wish If I could send you the picture of my Pomelo fruit which its fruit peeps into my small and cute lanai.

Hi
I just wanted to give you a bit of constructive feedback on your site.
First, I was super excited to find a site that talks about growing edibles in containers. It’s exactly what I am learning to do and I thought it would be very useful.
But after trying to read through stuff on the site for the last 10 minutes I find I am really annoyed with
- advertisements everywhere
- link-advertising that pops up whenever your cursor is over the text
- the dumb ‘no right click’ thing. I can’t right click to open a couple other articles in new tabs!!!
You lost me. The site annoyed me into leaving and removing it from my reading list.
I get that you’re trying to make $ from the site, but annoying readers with over the top advertising isn’t going to build a following.
Thought you might want to know….
